A big win for GetYourGuide: The online tour and activity marketplace secured first place at SevenVentures Pitch Day in London.

The company can now look forward to a prize of several million euros in TV advertisement at ProSiebenSat. 1 Group.

Berlin November 15, 2013 - In an exciting final round, GetYourGuide won out against six competitors, selected from a pool of around 300 applicants to the SevenVentures competition. The finalists were given the opportunity to beat the drum for their business idea. CEO Johannes Reck presented for GetYourGuide, later taking the hotseat and responding to savvy business questions from members of the jury, which included representatives from Holtzbrinck Ventures, Accel Partners, and other angel investors. The virtual seventh member of the jury was the audience, who could stream the presentations live as they happened.

The SevenVentures competition took place in London at the yearly NOAH Conference, Europe’s most important internet event. At the event, SevenVentures called on startups to present their concept to a jury of industry experts. The award of seven million euros worth of media, distributed between the top three businesses, is designed to help the startups increase their visibility.
